Welcome to the Spring edition of the John Croft Design e-newsletter! Once again we’ve had another busy couple of months so we have plenty of news to share with you.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our clients for allowing John Croft Design into their homes, to thank you for the work that you have given us and also thank you for your referrals. As the old saying goes “The finest compliment we can receive is a referral from our clients and friends.” How very true that is – so a big thank you!
Another project of ours was featured in Queensland Homes magazine and John was interviewed for a piece in the Home lift out of the Courier Mail. Senior Interior Designer, Renee, is celebrating 15 years with us and we’re talking trends for the Spring/Summer 2014/2015 season. We’ve also recently been involved in helping Youth With A Mission (YWAM) raise funds to deliver much needed medical services to out-of-reach communities in PNG. This is a cause very dear to our hearts and we implore you to make a donation.
We hope you enjoy this issue and would love to hear your thoughts on what you would like to see in our next edition!
John Croft Design in QLD Homes
We were lucky enough to have another project of ours featured in the Spring edition of Queensland Homes magazine. Working closely with Lloyd on this project, John custom-designed select pieces of furniture, showcasing his signature bold use of colour and pattern. Take a look at the elegantly striking 3-storey Shorncliffe home!
This month, one of our Senior Interior Designers, Renee Burgess, is celebrating 15 years at John Croft Design. Having established a passion for interior design and a refined attention to detail from a young age, Renee effortlessly fuses style and practicality for her clients with aplomb. Congratulations Renee – here’s to the next 15 years!
John Croft in the Courier Mail
Did you catch John Croft’s interview in the Home lift out of the Courier Mail on Saturday 6th September? John shared some tips with Wendy Hughes on how to spring clean your interior and inject fresh bursts of colour into your home. This season, citrus tones such as sunny yellow and lime are John’s go-to-hues for the warmer months. Why not freshen up your home with some colour?
With Spring now well and truly in bloom, there’s no time like the present to freshen up your home. John forecasts that this season, a clean palette of crisp, vibrant colours will prove to be a trend with staying power, with citrus tones leading the way. Tis the season to splash into colour, so why not make seemingly small additions such as scatter cushions, rugs and new wall colours in fruity hues to inject warmth into your home? Another leading trend is the fusion of indoor and outdoor spaces. For tips on how to enjoy your outdoor living area with the same level of style and comfort as the interior of your home this Summer, take a look at our latest blog.
At John Croft Design, we are always on the hunt for new and exciting pieces that we can use in our interior design and decoration projects. These are a few of our favourite treasures that John recently uncovered. John purchased this gorgeous original collection of polka dot chickens from a gallery in Tasmania during a recent holiday, along with a trio of white ceramic vases. The vases are handmade with delicate flower detailing and vivid glazing on the inside. We have also purchased a few new pieces from artist, Matt Lively’s collection. Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, we have been longstanding fans of his artwork and love incorporating his pieces into our designs. Which piece is your favourite?
Youth With A Mission (YWAM)
The John Croft Design team recently attended a charity function for YWAM to help raise money for the purchase of a new boat that will be converted into a medical ship. This vessel will then travel up to PNG and deliver medical aid to out-of-reach communities. To find out more about the cause and to make a donation, visit the YWAM website.
