JOHN CROFT DESIGN FEATURED IN THE LATEST EDITION OF QUEENSLAND HOMES MAGAZINE
John Croft Design are featured in the current Queensland Homes Autumn edition.
John and Kylie had the pleasure of revisiting a previous interior that they designed 20 years ago with the same home and some of the same furnishings with wonderful new owners. Our clients were looking for an update with colour in mind.
It was wonderful to work with our clients and create a fresh environment to suit their home and personality.
HOUZZ DESIGN AND SERVICE AWARDS
We were thrilled to accept ‘Best of Houzz’ awards for both the Design and Service categories last month.
It is always nice to be acknowledged for our hard work and the dedication we give to our clients. We thank everyone involved who helped make this possible.
LLOYD CELEBRATES 10 YEAR MILESTONE AT JOHN CROFT DESIGN
In December last year we celebrated the fact that Lloyd Hodgkinson has been working at John Croft Design for 10 years!
In 2006 a very young Lloyd began working as Junior Interior Designer, eventually progressing to Senior Interior Designer. Lloyd is both a wonderful person and a talented designer. He is very much a valued member of our team.
Lloyd will celebrate his long service with his partner David in Italy for the month of May. Stay tuned for some holiday snaps in our next edition!
JCD RECENT INSTALLATIONS
Here are some images from a few recent installations.
Each project was tailored to suit each client, often incorporating their existing furniture and accessories. By adding some key pieces and extra layers, we have been able to complete the clients vision for their interiors.
JOHN TRAVELS TO SYDNEY AND MELBOURNE TRADE FAIRS
Last month John travelled down to Sydney and Melbourne to attend the annual Trade Fairs.
While in each city, John had the chance to also visit many of our suppliers to source unique pieces for our clients. Below are some images showing some of the heart-stopping things that will be arriving at John Croft Design very soon!
BEFORE AND AFTER
Nyria has enjoyed working on this beautiful home up at Noosa where she helped translate her client’s personalities into their interior.
The brief was to make the interior warmer and more inviting, with a touch of quirkiness and colour. It was important to the client that it had its’ own distinct style that set it apart from the common “Noosa interior” look.
Nyria was inspired by certain tribal and luxe style elements that the client already owned, and fused them together to create a very unique and interesting interior. Here are some before and after photos that display the transformation.

JOHN’S HOUSEKEEPING TIP
Do you struggle to keep your whites white? John has the answer!
Create a Baking Soda Soak:
With homemade mixture of water and baking soda, you can whiten your whites without any additives in your washing machine. Combine four litres of water with one cup of baking soda, and drop in your white towels. Let it soak, and your towels will be fresh and clean once finished!
Whiten your Towels every time you wash:
Add one cup of baking soda to the bottom of the washing machine, put towels on top. Use your usual quantity of detergent in the dispenser. Fill the fabric softener dispenser with Laundry Vinegar and your towels will be fresh and clean once again!
