07-16 project-review

Earlier in the year, Nyria had the pleasure of working with an existing John Croft Design client and this time around, it involved a major kitchen renovation. A small, dated kitchen lacking storage space was transformed into a striking new Shaker-Style kitchen, a nod to the original architectural style of their Queenslander home. The kitchen transformation, which features black cabinetry and white stone bench tops, has added much needed storage as well adding style, impact and practicality to this important area of the home.

John was recently interviewed by online design blog Velvenoir about his business and the relationship of artwork in interiors. “I think art is an essential element of interiors. This also includes sculptures and objet d’art. Personally, I love an abundance of these things in the home” – John Croft. Click to read John’s interview in full!

07-16 Importanceofarugunderlay

Our existing clients will know that we always include a rug underlay whenever we supply and install a rug. Although hidden and out of sight underneath your beautiful rug, this material has the very important job of keeping the rug not only in place, but preventing movement or stretching of the rug fibres and backing. Over the years, we have seen first-hand the benefits of using these underlays, as they increase the life span and quality of your rugs. Great furnishings and decorations, when cared for well, are given the opportunity to last for many years.
