In this month’s issue we take a trip down memory lane and look back at how interior design trends have evolved over the past 30 years, share our recent feature in QLD Homes magazine, profile a recent project that we completed for JJ Richards Engineering and give you all an obligatory puppy progress update (we just couldn’t resist). We also couldn’t resist sharing one of our all time favourite soup recipes with you as the cooler weather rolls in.
To keep abreast of what’s happening behind the scenes at John Croft Design HQ, be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram, and get your daily dose of interior inspiration via Pinterest.
Sit back and relax with a warming bowl of soup and enjoy this month’s edition!
The John Croft Design Team
We were lucky enough to have another project of ours featured in the winter edition of QLD Homes magazine.
One of our designers, Nyria King, was tasked with selecting and supplying furnishings for the home of a well-travelled couple whose extended family visit regularly. Referencing the homeowners’ love of travel and sophisticated style, Nyria forged a unique style that she penned as Asian/fusion to create a relaxed and welcoming home with an oriental underpinning.
John Croft Talks Interior Design Trends of the Past 30 Years
John was featured in an online article on the QLD Homes website, discussing interior design trends from the past 30 years. It gives you an interesting insight into how interior design trends have evolved during this period.
There are also a few fantastic photos of John’s work from back in the 80’s and 90’s.
Take a look!
Staff Profile: Kate Northey
Kate Northey is our receptionist and is in charge of all our accounts. Kate is a valued member of our team and has been with John Croft Design for seven years. Kate has recently returned from a one month overseas holiday where she travelled to North Island, Scotland, England, France and Belgium. A highlight for Kate on her travels was being at Menin Gate on Anzac day and laying a wreath in memory of her fallen ancestors from World War I. It is great to have Kate back at work behind the front desk again.
JJ Richards Yatala Factory Project
Throughout the course of 2014/2015, John and the team have been working on a large commercial project for JJ Richards Engineering Factory at Yatala.
John has been involved in the entire project from the building and planning stage, right through to the interior fit-out and supply of all furniture and furnishings. Facilitating JJ Richards Engineering, truck manufacturing, and Steel Fabrication Australia businesses, the factory is of significant scale at 10,376sqm.
The factory and office installation is now complete and working well for all divisions under the one roof. The results are striking and we are very proud of this project.
Joseph and Ingrid our Welsh Terrier puppies are now 6 months old and have grown so much!
They still need a bit of work on the toilet training but are getting there. They have undoubtedly been a lively addition to our office this year. They are at home at the moment convalescing from their de-sexing operations. We are looking forward to their return to the office very soon.
If you would like to keep up with their busy social lives, follow them on Instagram @josephandingrid!
