Only eight months after working with these clients to prepare their previous home for sale, John Croft Interior Designer, Craig Rogerson was asked back to begin working on the design of their new family home. The space needed updating, and with Craig’s skill and attention to detail, the clients were happy to put their full trust in his interpretation of the space. “Lots of features had to be removed, such as built-in buffets that had salmon-coloured fronts and granite shelves. The house had good bones, but needed more furniture to fill out the space and make it a home,” said Craig.
The large open plan five bedroom home in Carindale now includes a colour palette of black, charcoal, neutral and red, with crisp white walls to create a perfect blend of drama and functionality, fit for a family that loves to entertain. The signature piece, a stylish custom designed and built, 12 seater dining table is the perfect place for entertaining guests late into the night, with 2 buffets and a feature wall of floral wallpaper adding detail to the room. The addition of personal items such as a painting by the client’s brother in the study provides that special touch that makes all the difference.
