Family Home Redecorated – Lawnton

Having travelled extensively over the years, collecting souvenirs and artefacts along the way, the couple who own this generous family home in Lawnton soon realised that they needed some help with decorating. “It was either an interior designer or a marriage counsellor,” they said. They had previously sought the services of John Croft Design for decorating their last home, and decided that it was time to bring in the big guns to assist with successfully incorporating their collection into the space.

John Croft Designer Nyria King began with the colours of their existing furnishings as her starting palette. To this she added new furnishings and fabrics in neutral and warm earthy tones, with splashes of bold colour that are both striking yet unobtrusive. The results speak for themselves, complementing the Asian fusion style of the home and the couples existing furnishings perfectly. In the central living area, Nyria skilfully added a brightly coloured custom made rug over the existing dark carpet to brighten the room. The finished product is a welcoming, comfortable space where the couples 5 adult offspring and their families can feel at home while visiting.
