River Home – Norman Park

A referral from previous clients is a sure sign for an interior designer that they are doing something very right, and John Croft Senior Interior Designer Renee Burgess certainly has the talent to warrant such accolades. John Croft Design are a one-stop-shop, taking the stress out of interior decorating –  often beginning with the empty shell of a home, and guiding it towards the final results including painting, cabinetry, tiling, furnishings and accessories. Having been referred by a previous client, the owners of this three level river apartment were over the moon with Renee’s blending of formal and contemporary styles with eclectic colour and shape.

In keeping with the client’s desire for a home that was both stylish but practical and comfortable, Renee expressed their personalities and lifestyle perfectly, and the results speak for themselves. As with much of the work of John Croft Design, they asked for Renee to include furniture and furnishings from their previous home, inspiring her to create a perfect poetry of the old and new. Using subtle warm colours throughout, Renee added contrasting accessories with custom made rugs and cushions to bring sophistication and style to a space that will be enjoyed by adults and children alike, for many years to come.
